I'll definitely be checking the patch notes next time I see this on sale. I hope you'll take this as constructive criticism and not angry internet bitterness or anything. This wasn't supposed to be one of those games, it was supposed to be something light but challenging that I could just pick up and rock face to and the difficulty would come from the gameplay itself rather than something bizarre like me teaching my brain to tilt itself 45 degrees. But I just don't feel like fighting bad controls right now. ![]() I could probably get used to it, and I did very much want to enjoy this game - the style, the gameplay, I've been waiting for this to go on sale since I saw footage on YouTube. Sadly, I think I'm going to refund this game. No one would have, when presented the choice in advance, asked you to prioritize walking in neat, pretty little lines relative to the level geometry over intuitive, easy-to-pickup controls for the game's twitchy action sequences. No one who is actually trying to play this game on KB+M would have asked you beforehand to implement keyboard controls the way you did. So while I understand the reasons for what you did, I can tell you right now, without the tiniest shred of doubt, that you made the wrong decision. I do, however, care very much if I miss a dash because W isn't actually 'UP' and I haven't finished unlearning almost two decades of muscle memory. I set out to play a 2.5d action game on KB+M, believe me, I am familiar with the concept with pressing two directional keys at once. I do not give a single hair off a rat's butt if I have to navigate a hallway by holding W and occasionally tapping D. The game's challenge is dodging bullets and murdering dudes. The problem is that the game's challenge is not to pass sobriety tests by walking down hallways in straight neat little lines. ![]() The levels themselves are skewed, and so skewing the keyboard controls lets the player navigate the game's hallways with single keys. I understand why you chose to skew the keyboard controls.
